Lunch will be provided to all participants.  Come hungry!  Winners for Round #1 will be announced,

3) Afternoon (1-5pm)

The final round of DCMC will have selected student groups from Round #1 compete on one of the remaining cases provided before the competition.  Student groups will have 30 minutes to finalize their case prep before their allocated presentation time slot.  The student presentation will be in the main competition room for 5-6 judges and observers.  Final marks will determine our top DCMC 2025 groups!  Students’ awards are given after the final case is delivered to the judges.

Confident Businessman

Jim Norwood, President

Newcastle & District Chamber of Commerce

"The Newcastle & District Chamber of Commerce eagerly awaits the 2025 Durham College Marketing Competition (DCMC).  As a proud sponsor of the DCMC, we find it a great opportunity for our Chamber business members to put forth their marketing case challenges to the student competitors.  The marketing presentations by the students frankly blew away our members who volunteered to judge.  One of the case presentations was based on one of our business members.  Based on the student group’s recommendations, she moved her business from a home-based to a clinic setting.  Her business has experienced exceptional growth since doing so, thanks to that student group’s insights!

As for the competition, Terry Peddlesden was a great host and resource to our business members and ensured a high-level of support for them before, during, and after the competition.  We thoroughly enjoyed the competition, with plenty of opportunities to meet and mingle with students, faculty, and other sponsors.

To say this event is worthwhile is an understatement.  Continuing and expanding the Durham College Marketing Competition is necessary and important.  A chamber member’s comment after the final presentations hit home to me: “Today renewed my faith in the future.”

We look forward to being involved for many years.

Well done, Durham College!"

Owasco

Cengage

""Cengage is excited to witness students come together and compete in an atmosphere of camaraderie and learning.  It's fascinating to see students engaging in healthy competition while also benefiting from the invaluable guidance provided by coaches and judges.  We are proud to be sponsoring DCMC and be part of this enriching experience for many years!"
